Summer is almost here, and that means more food trucks on the streets of Milwaukee. It also means more festivals bringing together trucks of all types.

The event, hosted by Food Truck Festivals of America (FTFA), will be held at the Waukesha Expo Center, 1000 Northview Rd. It takes place from noon to 6 p.m., with a VIP hour from 11 a.m. to noon.
Participating food trucks include Blue Cow Creperie, Dan O’s Donuts, Meat on the Street, The Denson’s, Toast, The Rolling Cones, Soho Gourmet Cuisines, Sweet Perfections Bake Shoppe, Smokin’ L’s BBQ, Gypsy Soul Food and Faf Concessions. But trucks are being added to the roster daily.
Breweries will include Raised Grain Brewery, Leinenkugels, Henry Weinhard, Lakefront Brewing, Lake Louie, Great Lakes Brewing, Sprecher Brewing, Titletown Brewing, Wisconsin Brewing, Furthermore, Lombardi, North American Breweries and Hypothesis.
Both general admission and VIP tickets can be purchased online. General admission is $5 in advance or at the gate for $10. Children 12 and under are free. VIP tickets are $20 and include early access to the festival, one free dessert, a craft beer and a free FTFA branded koozie.

Her passion for the culinary industry was birthed while balancing A&W root beer mugs as a teenage carhop, fed by insatiable curiosity and fueled by the people whose stories entwine with each and every dish. She’s had the privilege of chronicling these tales via numerous media, including OnMilwaukee and in her book “Milwaukee Food.” Her work has garnered journalism awards from entities including the Milwaukee Press Club.
When she’s not eating, photographing food, writing or recording the FoodCrush podcast, you’ll find Lori seeking out adventures with her husband Paul, traveling, cooking, reading, learning, snuggling with her cats and looking for ways to make a difference.
